Finding affordable land to build Habitat houses on is one of our biggest challenges. As the value of land has increased over the years, it has become more difficult to find property that fits into the budget for a Habitat home, but there are several ways that you can help.
We accept donated land, and we will sometimes purchase land at fair market value. We do not purchase property in the flood plain, and we do not mediate heirship issues.
Land donations to Habitat can often be counted as charitable donations on your tax return. Consult your tax professional regarding the tax deduction a land donation might give you.
Do you:
own vacant property that you would be willing to donate or sell to Habitat at a discounted rate?
wish to create a legacy by adding Grundy-Three Rivers Habitat for Humanity to your will for bequest of property?
If you know of such land or would like to speak to us about the sale or donation of your property, please contact us at (815) 942-1452.
